Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly blog hop hosted by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read. It’s a fun way to find other blogs and meet new bloggers.
You can follow Lit, etc via Twitter, Facebook, Networked Blogs, Bloglovin, or subscribe to the blog via email. Please let me know if you’re a new follower and I’ll follow back.
Q: Give us a sneak! What are you reading? Tell us about a fun or fail scene in your current read.
I’m reading two books currently for review. The first is Kissing the Maid of Honor by Robin Bielman. Sela had a crush on her best friend’s brother growing up and one day she kisses him and he announces she kisses like a corpse in front of the entire school! LOL! He did it because he was shocked he had feelings for her and nine years later they meet up for Vanessa’s wedding. This should be interesting.
The second is The Last Victim by Karen Robards. Charlotte Stone survived a serial killer’s attack and now she’s a noted expert in criminal pathology, but there’s a twist. She can see dead people and when a sexy serial killer, Michael Garland, is murdered at the prison she’s working at, he won’t leave her alone. I laughed so hard in the scene when she comes out of the shower and he’s just sitting there on the toilet telling her how hot she is. Yeah we’re not suppose to find these monsters good looking, etc and I have a feeling Robards is setting it up that Garland was wrongly accused. We shall see how this progresses. So far it’s been fun reading Garland & Charlotte’s interaction especially when she tells him to go the light and he states there is no is light.

The Last Victim sound funny but also has the underlying thrill factor. Can’t wait to read your review.
Jessica
The author writes well and there’s some great laugh out moments.

I really like what I’ve read so far and I can’t wait for them to both confess their attraction back in high school.
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Bahahaha… Never thought I’d see the words “sexy serial killer” in the same sentence. That’s different. 😛 I’m looking forward to your review on that one. 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend!

hahaha yeah “sexy serial killer” doesn’t go hand in hand, but hey Ted Bundy wasn’t bad looking. I really do think the author is setting up that Michael was wrongfully accused.

I felt horrible for Sela because he just doesn’t seem to care about other people’s feelings, etc.

Okay, so this guy in Kissing the Maid of Honor gives the first impression of a jackass 😀 I hope he gets better further into the story…
The Last Victim sounds funny. Kind of like the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones (only Charley helps the victims, not the serial killers). Although the scene you mention sounds hilarious 😀 I kind of want to read this book now.

Yup in Kissing the Maid of Honor he is a jackass, but he does apologize! I’ve heard there are some comparisons between the Jones books, but I haven’t read her books so I can’t compare.

Haven’t read either of those but they sound intriguing. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier. Now following you via Networked Blogs as well. 😀 Have a great weekend!
