25 Days of Book Boyfriends: Nicholas Brisbane + Giveaway

25 Days of Book Boyfriends: Nicholas Brisbane + Giveaway

Yay! I’m really excited to be part of the 25 Days of Book Boyfriends hosted by Lovin’ los libros, Readers Live a 1000 Lives, and Starbucks & Books Obsession. As several of you know, I have way too many fictional boyfriends and today I’m going to share with you someone I met over the summer. See, I’d seen him mentioned a few times, but I didn’t have the courage to meet him until I was called for jury duty. I complained and when I found out you could spend your free time in the waiting room doing what you wanted, I knew what I was going to do: I was going to finally crack open the first book in the Lady Julia Grey series. I was memorized from the moment… Read more »

Blog Tour: Review-E.L. Farris’s I Run

E.L. Farris’ I Run is an emotional journey as one woman tries to outrun her personal demons from the past and raise a family. As far as characterization, we have good character development. Sally is our main character and she’s married and a mother to three children. She’s been struggling since the accident and it’s easy to like her. There’s some personal trauma that she’s been trying to remember and yet can’t. Then we have her husband William who at times comes off as passive and I’m still trying to wrap my mind around him and what he thinks of Sally. We have a variety of secondary characters who play a vital role including Sally’s mother who is a first grade bitch. Then we have Sally’s friend Beth who has… Read more »

Book Review: Sylvain Reynard’s Gabriel’s Redemption

Book Review: Sylvain Reynard’s Gabriel’s Redemption

Sylvain Reynard’s Gabriel’s Redemption is the highly anticipated final book in the Gabriel’s Inferno series. The series was originally conceived as two books, but Reynard changed his mind after readers pleaded for a third. If you haven’t read the series, I do recommend you read the first two books before proceeding to Redemption because Reynard does revisit past characters and gives you character backgrounds that will leave you lost otherwise. Synopsis: Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father. But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given… Read more »
