Miranda Neville is one of those authors I’ve always wanted to read, but I haven’t had the opportunity to do so until now. So when I had the opportunity to participate in the blog tour for Lady Windermere’s Lover, I couldn’t pass up the chance! We have good character development. We first meet Damian when he’s a young man. I really liked getting to see him at this age because we can see how reckless he becomes that night and how sorrowful he is afterwards. It’s really easy to see the man he’ll become. We don’t get much of Cynthia in her youth and by the time we do know her she’s already evolved into the woman Damian wanted his wife to become. She’s a bit complex to understand but… Read more »

As part of the blog tour, I have an excerpt of Miranda Neville’s Lady Windermere’s Lover. Enjoy! Synopsis: Damian, Earl of Windermere, rues the day he drunkenly gambled away his family’s estate and was forced into marriage to reclaim it. Now, after hiding out from his new bride for a year, Damian is finally called home, only to discover that his modest bride has become an alluring beauty—and rumor has it that she’s taken a lover. Damian vows to keep his wife from straying again, but to do so he must seduce her—and protect his heart from falling for the wife he never knew he wanted. Cynthia never aspired to be the subject of scandal. But with her husband off gallivanting across Persia, what was a lady to do? Flirting… Read more »
Can you believe we’re already halfway through the year? It feels as if March was just yesterday! Well, I went to Denver about 2 weeks ago to visit my sister and to see Def Leppard and KISS! They are on a tour together and it was a lot of fun! I grew up on classic rock and my dad used to quiz us a children who was playing on the radio. At times, I wish my dad had been there with us but when I got home I showed him the pictures and he pouted. Def Leppard had some funky lighting and it was tough to get some really good images of Joe Elliott. And really, Joe owned the night! He has his swagger on stage and just wow! Here… Read more »
One Liners is a weekly feature where we look at a novel’s first line as if it were a pick up line. We’ve all heard the saying, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” The first line in a book is equally important as the last since it sets the tone and often will either make an impression or not. Let’s face it, it’s a little like dating. Will that guy with the cheesy pick up line score a number or not? So, I began to think…if the first line in a book was a pick up line, would you give it your number, agree to a date, let it buy you a drink, or do you walk away? Today’s book is Dodie Smith’s I Capture… Read more »
The 4th of July is a day to rejoice, be proud and salute all those brave warriors who fought for the freedom of our country. No amount of appreciation will be enough to describe their efforts. Happy 4th of July!
Love at first sight: Urban legend? Ahh … that wonderful, mysterious thing every woman has dreamt of/wished for since she was a little girl. I believe we can thank Disney for that. But does it actually exist? Sure, we know without a doubt that there is lust/attraction at first sight, but it’s impossible for it not to. You see someone, they’re attractive to you, and instantly your body and mind go into overdrive thinking about a way to introduce yourself … every so slyly, of course! But I’m talking about love. That moment where everything seems to fade away except for the person in your line of sight. That moment when your heart starts pounding in a way you’ve never felt. That moment when you see your future with this… Read more »
As part of the blitz tour, I have an excerpt of Molly McAdams’s Sharing You. Enjoy! Synopsis: Twenty-three year old, Kamryn Cunningham has left all she’s ever known and moved to a small town where no one knows her name, who her parents are, or her social status in the horseracing world. Months after opening her own bakery and evading attempts of being set up by her new best friend, she meets Brody. But Kamryn fights the instant pull between them because there’s a detail she can’t dismiss. Brody’s married.
