Blog Tour: Review-Eloisa James’ A Gentleman Never Tells + Giveaway

The Essex Sisters series is one of my favorite books by Eloisa James. When the opportunity came to participate in the blog tour for the newest novella in the series, A Gentleman Never Tells, I couldn’t pass up the chance! If you haven’t read any of the books in the series, it’s not necessary to enjoy A Gentleman. We have good character development. Lizzie Troutt is a young widow who is kind and only wants to live her life on her own terms. She has no desire to remarry and keeps to herself. And we have Oliver Berwick, a country gentleman who deeply regrets his involvement in circulating nicknames given to a few women. Now charged with the care of his teenage niece, Hattie, Oliver is quick to see the… Read more »

While, Four Nights is the eighth book in her Desperate Duchess series, if you haven’t read any of the books in the series, it’s okay to dive right in. We have really good character development. Emila “Mia” Carrington has a secret: she’s a successful novelist, but the time has come to marry. Her nephew, Charlie, is at risk and she… Read more »

Blog Tour: Review-Eloisa James’ Three Weeks with Lady X + Giveaway

Eloisa James is one of those authors who are hit or miss for me. I loved, loved, loved meeting Leopold Dautry, the Duke of Villiers in James’ Desperate Duchesses series and when I heard his illegitimate son, Tobias, was getting a book, I couldn’t resist the temptation to read it! Ah, Three Weeks with Lady X was everything I wanted! If you’ve never read James’ Desperate Duchesses series it’s not necessary to do so in order to enjoy Three Weeks with Lady X. There are no spoilers and you can even go back to read Leopold’s story, A Duke of Her Own, and not miss anything since both are good standalones. We have good characterization and James does a great job letting us spend an equal amount of time with… Read more »
