Amy Maurer Jones’ Fly Away is the highly anticipated second book in the Wildflower series. If you haven’t read the first book, Wildflower, you can read Fly Away; however, I do recommend reading the first only because it sets up the reincarnation lives of Laney, Joshua, and Jordan and I believe you might be lost otherwise. Fly Away picks up a few months after Wildflower ended and I really appreciated that because it gives us the ability to see exactly what happened during the months after Laney and Joshua ran away. Book Review: Amy Maurer Jones’ Wildflower

The first line in the synopsis is “Love can be tragic,” and Amy Maurer Jones writes a beautiful story about love and reincarnation. This is the first book in the Wildflower series. The book is set in both the past and present and is mostly told through Laney Stillwater’s perspective. Laney is your typical high school student with very few friends. She is an outcast because of her ethnic background (Native American) and most of her classmates don’t understand her family’s beliefs. I can easily relate to Laney (I’ve been in her situation many times) and no doubt several of you will too. Laney shares a connection with a previous life.
