I’m honored to be part of the Good Reads, Good Causes blog tour! And even more so knowing that 20% of the royalties will be donated to Home for our Troops. It’s a great organization and I firmly believe that heroes shouldn’t be homeless or struggle to live in their house. I’m also really excited to read Hot on the Ice! It’s a unique take on an anthology-each team member has their own story!
Life in the Spotlight
One might think that life under the spotlight is a great place to be. After all, how bad could fame be? Anyone who has found their every movement, choice, or taste analyzed, criticized, and held up for ridicule across social media and the press will have a very different opinion. Just ask any soldier, Marine, Airman, or sailor who served in theaters of war like Vietnam. They returned home to a hostile front and social media then was what your neighbors said.
Organizations like Home for Our Troops are important to me because they put the spotlight where it needs to be: honoring our troops by taking care of them. They modify homes, build more and make life easier for those who protect us.
I have particular affection for the Marines, my uncle was one and my grandfather served in the British Armed Forces during WWII, my grandmother was an ambulance driver during the Blitz and more. If you look closely, you may very well find military links in most families; they surround us in protection, and bind us together as one people.
The characters in my story live under the glare of ‘fame’ but they don’t take it for granted nor do they want the spotlight on themselves. They struggle with it, struggle to live as real people doing jobs they love even while the rest of the world seems to dissect every choice they make.
I am thrilled to be a part of a team, bringing our team to life so that we can help give back as well. Let’s put the spotlight where it needs to be on organizations like Homes for Our Troops so we can support those that let fame even be possible in the first place.
Coming March 21!

About Hot on Ice: A Hockey Romance Anthology…
The New Orleans Cajun Rage professional hockey team just won the Cup. No one thought they’d do it. They were a team of shoulda beens, never coulda beens and a star or two. They’d only been in the Crescent City for three years before this year’s Cinderella run that had them skating off the ice with the championship. Over the following summer, each player gets to keep the Cup for a day. Nobody knows why, but whoever has the Cup falls in love. USA Today bestsellers Robin Covington, Desiree Holt, Kimberly Kincaid, Nana Malone, and Virginia Nelson, Publisher’s Weekly bestseller Angi Morgan, along with Xio Axelrod, Christi Barth, Andie J. Christopher, Avery Flynn, Kim Golden, Lena Hart, Robin Kaye, Katie Kenyhercz, Heather Long, Kate Meader, Susan Scott Shelley, and Misty D. Waters bring you 18 romances with smoking hot heroes—both on and off the ice.
