Blog Tour: Review-Anne Whitney’s The Art of Love + Giveaway

Once in a while a book falls into your lap that blows you away. When Megan from Book Brats announced the opportunity to be part of Anne Whitney’s blog tour, I couldn’t pass up the chance especially after reading the synopsis. Anne Whitney’s debut, The Art of Love, is what all New Adult books should emulate. Character development is strong and we get to know each one to the point that they become personal friends. I really liked the personal journey Marina makes. When we first meet her, she’s a bit shy and uneasy and then she grows into her confidence. I adored Fitz! I was bit unsure how to react to him, but he’s kind and knows how to help someone in need. Your heart will break for him… Read more »

Book Review: Colleen Hoover’s This Girl

Book Review: Colleen Hoover’s This Girl

It pains me to write this review as well as give it the rating I do because I LOVED Colleen Hoover’s Slammed. I knew This Girl was going to be Will’s point-of-view, but what I didn’t expect was to read Slammed all over again. If I wanted to reread it, I would have just picked up my copy and saved the $8 I paid. Colleen Hoover’s This Girl is the highly anticipated third book in the Slammed series. Will and Lake are now married and are on their honeymoon. One night, they are reminiscing on how they met and Lake asks Will to tell her what his first impression of her was. Will reluctantly agrees and along the way Lake discovers Will has been harboring a few secrets of his… Read more »

On the other side of the hallway, Jay has a nightly ritual of checking in on Eden. He tries to convince himself it is because he’s a cop and not because of his growing feelings for her. Book Review: Laurel Ulen Curtis’ The One Girl

Book Review: Laurel Ulen Curtis’ The One Girl

Laurel Ulen Curtis’s The One Girl picks up right where we left off in The One Place. This time it’s told in Tucker’s point of view and what a breath of fresh air! Kudos to Curtis for giving us a male perspective in a second book instead of having to wait for his point of view in a later book like some authors are prone to do (if they decide to so). If you haven’t read The One Place then I highly recommend doing so because you’ll be lost otherwise. Tucker and Natalie have to deal with the fact that Andrew has found Natalie and is back in town. Tucker finally finds out how much of a monster Andrew really is. Natalie has to come to grips with her past… Read more »
