I wish Lockout was one of those novellas you could easily pick up and read from that particular moment, but alas it is not. If you haven’t read Locked then read it before proceeding to Lockout otherwise you’ll be lost. Maya Cross’ Lockout picks up right where Locked left off, with Sophia walking away from Sebastian after the text she sees he receives. When Sebastian wakes the next morning, he’s stunned to find her missing and attempts to make thing right. Sophia doesn’t want anything to do with him, but against her better judgment she relents. A majority of the novella takes place with Sebastian traveling, but he leaves her with a gift and specific instructions that she follows.
