Blog Tour: Review-Diana Baron’s Training Temptation

Blog Tour: Review-Diana Baron’s Training Temptation

Character development is pretty good for it being a novella. I felt like I got to know Caroline and Edward pretty well especially their concerns. Even though Caroline writes Edward off, they actually have a lot more in common than they care to admit. I won’t explain what it is because it is a spoiler. I liked that Edward wasn’t this egotistical jerk and he truly did care about Caroline. I do believe he was attracted to her because he could have any woman he wanted, but her. Caroline isn’t one to back down from a challenge and speaks her mind. She’s courageous and thinks about the estate and the people she’s responsible for. We are introduced to several secondary characters including Edwards’ father, Anton. Anton is interesting and I… Read more »

Book Review: Maya Cross’ Locked

Book Review: Maya Cross’ Locked

I kept seeing Maya Cross’ Locked at a few blogs and the cover kept catching my eye! Look at it-it’s gorgeous! I knew I had to read this as soon as possible and even though I always read a synopsis before purchase, I didn’t do it for Locked. Maya Cross has us asking, who is Sebastian Lock? Readers will be intrigued the moment he makes an appearance and no doubt you’ll find yourself a bit smitten. Sophia Pearce is enjoying a night out with friends when they notice a group of people entering the bar and heading straight towards the back. They pay no real attention until they recognize an actor with an entourage and suddenly Sophia has a plan to infiltrate the exclusive party and find out what is… Read more »

Blog Tour: Review-Cathryn Fox’s Hold Me Down Hard

Cathryn Fox’s Hold Me Down Hard is a novella and even though it’s a light read, it’s a sizzling page turner. By the end, you’ll be looking at a police uniform a little differently. On the other side of the hallway, Jay has a nightly ritual of checking in on Eden. He tries to convince himself it is because he’s a cop and not because of his growing feelings for her. When Eden convinces him to help her audition for an upcoming part she covets, Jay realizes he’s her ideal partner. Will Eden be able… Read more »

Book Review: Sophie Morgan’s Diary of a Submissive

Book Review: Sophie Morgan’s Diary of a Submissive

Sophie Morgan’s book opens up with a prologue that many of us no doubt have witnessed before. A man and a woman are outside; the man tugs on her hair forcibly and we hear him call her a slut and whore. We look into her eyes and see fury behind them as she restrains herself and the man’s hand tangles tighter into her hair as we, the outsider watch. Immediately our thoughts range from calling for help to intervening, but as Morgan describes the scene, it plays out as that of a D/s (Dominance and submission) relationship. It’s an uncomfortable read as you realize what she describes could be any couple located anywhere, but at the same time she plays it off as part of the lifestyle. We the reader/outsider… Read more »
