Free eRead-a-thon Challenge: Literary Cuisine

Welcome to the first Free eRead-a-thon challenge! You have to be a participant and signed up in order to participate, but if you haven’t signed up there’s still time! Food often appears in some format in the books we read and therefore we have a recipe challenge! There will be two options. Option 1: Post a recipe from the book of your free eread that you’ve come across. Let’s say a character bakes a batch of chocolate chip bacon cookies. You can post a recipe for it. Option 2: This option allows you to create a recipe or pair one with the book you’ve read or are reading. Reading a cheesy love story? Maybe macaroni cheese might be the thing. Book is a sinful delight? Pair it with a sinful… Read more »

Free eRead-a-thon Prize List

A HUGE thanks to our sponsors! Amy Maurer Jones Soul Quest (ebook) Do you remember how horrified you were about the idea of attending high school? I remember ticking off those last miserable days of my summer vacation following my eighth grade year. Maybe you don’t, maybe you were one of ‘those people.’ You know who I’m talking about, people like Melissa Small, the distinguished District Attorney, Larry Small’s daughter, popular, gorgeous… and absolutely terrifying to someone like me, Liv Glyn. No, I am far from measuring up to the standards required to make Melissa’s crowd. I’m not even close. I’m just a simple man’s daughter, mostly tolerated by my peers with average looks. If this isn’t depressing enough for you, stay tuned, it gets worse. I was commanded with… Read more »

Mark Your Calendars: Free eRead-a-thon is coming!

I’m happy to announce the read-athon details that Danielle @ Consuming Worlds and I have been organizing. Danielle and author Nikki Jefford were talking one evening and Nikki mentioned the idea. With Nikki’s blessing, Danielle began to put together the event and I came on board to assist. Basically, this is a no pressure read-a-thon. Read at your own pace and the best part? No money involved! Our goal is to read those freebies we’ve all downloaded but we’ve put aside. Now’s the time to clean up the Kindle, Nook, Kobo, etc and hopefully you’ll find a few gems among those freebies. If you don’t have any free ebooks, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Danielle has posted a few titles here and if you check Literary, etc’s FB page… Read more »
