Film Friday: The Great Gatsby

Have you ever been surprised to find out a film was based on a book? Film Friday is a weekly feature that spotlights films that were adapted from books. We’re starting the countdown to the release of The Great Gatsby! I chose the 1974 adaptation with Robert Redford as Gatsby and Mia Farrow as Daisy to showcase. It’s the third adaption and one that is often praised for staying as close to the book as possible, but it lacks the spark of the Jazz Age.
